Rules of the Centre |

At Saturday morning competition, we encourage athletes from all age groups to abide by the rules and regulations of the Victorian Little Athletics Association.
- PARENT RESPONSIBILITY: As in all Little Athletics it must be remembered that parent participation is essential. Please remember that when you, the parent, agree to your child taking part in Little athletics, you are indicating that you as a parent will act as an official.
- AGE GROUP is based on the age of the child as 30th September 2011.
- NAME & AGE GROUP PATCH is compulsory for athletes to wear attached to the front of their uniform and the IGA Patch to the back of the uniform on Saturday mornings.
- SHIRTS must be tucked in before the start of ANY event.
- MISBEHAVIOUR: The committee has the discretion to disqualify any athlete who is behaving inappropriately from competing in an event/s. Little Athletes who persistently misbehave may be suspended from all activities by the Centre Executive.
- FOOTWEAR: Athletes must wear runners at all times during competition. NO BARE FEET are permitted.
- SPIKES may be worn from U/12 (max length 7mm) in all laned events javelin and jumping events. Spikes Must Be Removed At The Completion Of Each Event.
- CROUCH STARTS: It is compulsory for all competitors from U/12 to crouch start in all laned events.
- BLOCKS are compulsory from U/12 for all laned events when wearing spikes.
- BLOOD RULE: Children with blood on their body or clothing will be unable to participate in the activities of the Centre until blood is removed. All open wounds must be covered immediately.
- ALAC recommends the wearing of T Shirts, Hats & SPF30+ sunscreen in keeping with the Anti Cancer Council recommendation & ALAC Sun Protection Policy.
- Ensure all clothing is named to help with lost property.
